Luis Ramón Cruz Alvarado
The night of May 23, 2018, the roadblock constructed at Chinandega’s Los Encuentros traffic circle was surrounded and attacked by National Police officers, paramilitaries and FSLN youth mobs. Luis Ramón Cruz Alvarado was shot in the thorax. Wounded and lying in the street, he was abused by paramilitaries who then left him there; he was taken to the España Hospital where, according to his family, he did not receive proper medical attention.
