Juan Alejandro Zepeda Ortiz
At 11:30 on the night of May 30, 2018, near the AMOCSA clinic, Juan Alejandro Zepeda Ortiz was shot in the head. He was then dragged and beaten by National Police officers. Sometime after midnight he was taken on a motorcycle to the España Hospital, where he died at 3 am on May 31.
During the protests, the AMOCSA private clinic was attacked by Sandinista youth mobs because it was providing emergency medical attention to protesters wounded in the context of the governmental repression.
